Infrared Coagulation, Fast and Pain-Free Hemorrhoid Relief

Anyone who has had hemorrhoids can tell you that it is an embarrassing and painful condition. There are many things that can cause hemorrhoids, but because they are so varied, it is often hard to pinpoint the exact cause. Regardless of how it started, though, someone who has hemorrhoids will want to get rid of them as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, it is often difficult to find a good treatment for hemorrhoids. Creams can be ineffective or less effective than expected, and surgical procedures are too intense for mild cases. Inflatable donuts can be used to ease hemorrhoids, but these are an obvious and embarrassing solution that does not offer total or permanent relief. Furthermore, none of these remedies quickly eliminate the intense pain caused by hemorrhoids. Fortunately, hemorrhoids can now be quickly taken care of using a treatment called infrared coagulation. This nearly painless, non-surgical procedure uses cutting edge technology to get you back to living a comfortable life on the move.

This treatment uses small pulses of infrared light to heal and prevent hemorrhoids. During the procedure, infrared light is concentrated on the top of the hemorrhoid for a miniscule amount of time, allowing it to seal off the blood flow to the area. This reduces swelling, causing the skin to naturally recede to its normal position. As the tissue heals, it develops scar tissue that prevents future swelling, ensuring that there won't be any hemorrhoids in the same spot again. The treatment is quick, and patients may resume normal activity right away.

One of the biggest benefits of infrared coagulation is that there is nothing dangerous about the procedure. In fact, the light waves being emitted are nearly identical to those seen heating food at any buffet--they are simply more concentrated versions of those waves. Other benefits include that there is a short recovery time, and almost no pain felt throughout the entire procedure. Patients report only mild warmth in the area being treated, and sometimes they don't feel anything at all. This is much different from other treatments like rubber band litigation, where people often experience sharp pains during the treatment process.

The device used in the treatment is what is known as the IRC 2100, and has been shown to cause little to no irritation in nearly all patients. Redfield Corporation, a company that specializes in infrared coagulation systems, manufactures and services these machines. Its efforts have helped make infrared coagulation widely available and generally inexpensive.

Unfortunately, some people may need a few sessions to get rid of their hemorrhoids completely, and there may be a small amount of bleeding for about two weeks while the area heals. Still, infrared coagulation is a safe, effective, and nearly painless treatment for anyone suffering from hemorrhoids.
