Infrared Coagulation of Hemorrhoids is a reimbursable procedure under Medicare and most private insurers.  While no specific code exists for IRC, most physicians utilize CPT code 46934, “Destruction of Hemorrhoids – Any method”.  Physicians usually limit treatments to one quadrant per session, with 3-6 sessions overall.
